Office of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce & Industry held its 2nd Members’ Bi-monthly Business Meeting of the year on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 at Hotel JoeCarl Tema.
At the Meeting, Officials from the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) educated members on their Tax Obligations with particular emphasis on TIN, Tax Stamps and Tax Amnesty with booths set up for instant TIN registrations. Also at the meeting was Prof. John Aheto (a renowned Business Management Consultant) took members through “The Four Main Reasons why Ghanaian Entrepreneurs fade out over a short period of time and how to overcome those Challenges.”
The meeting also featured officials from the Ghana Revenue Authority who were present to take members through a tax education bordering on TIN registration, Tax Amnesty, Filing OF returns and any other relevant tax issues members were also given the opportunity to register their TIN at booths set up by the GRA.
This meeting was graced with the presence of The National President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nana Appiagyei Dankawoso I who encouraged members to follow the prudent management practices shared with them to promote their businesses. He however noted that continuous fulfilment of Tax Obligations is in tandem to prudent management practices and therefore urged members to be steadfast in their endeavours. The President also used the opportunity to announce the sod cutting for the commencement of the construction of the new Chamber Headquarters and the establishment of a Chamber Business School to educate members.
The Tema Regional Chairman, Mr. Isaac Barry also spoke of the Secretariat’s plan to organize a Full Day Certificate Awarding Training program for members in the third quarter of this year. The 2nd Vice President of the Chamber, Mrs. Victoria M. Hajar and the CEO in the person of Mr. Mark Badu-Aboagye also turns to speak to members on the Chambers’ preparedness advocate on members’ behalf.
