GNCCI BUSINESS TOUR
The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (GNCCI) embarked on a business tour to the Ghana Free zones Authority, Agility Logistics Company and Anowah Afrique, all in the Free Zone’s Enclave on the 29th of August, 2018. The purpose of the tour is to offer participants the opportunity to learn internationally accepted best practices, create networking opportunities and to identify some of the challenges confronting these organizations and suggest solutions.
Ghana Free Zones Authority combines both the enclave and single-factory enterprise schemes which is designed to promote processing and manufacturing of goods through the establishment of Export Processing Zones Programmes (EPZs). Their mission is to help transform Ghana into the Gateway to West Africa. They have four main areas to invest, which include Enclave developer, Service Company, manufacturer and commercial enterprise. Some of the incentives for companies under the free zones include duty free export of raw materials, ten (10) years corporate tax exemption and fifteen (15%) after ten (10) years. It is opened to both Ghanaians and foreigners.
