The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) has taken a strategic step forward in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Ghana and Switzerland, following a high-level engagement with H.E. Simone Giger, the Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Togo, and Benin.
The meeting, held in Accra, underscored GNCCI’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with key development partners and foreign missions to drive inclusive economic growth and private sector transformation. Ambassador Giger, known for her pragmatic approach to diplomacy and development cooperation, reaffirmed Switzerland’s interest in supporting Ghana’s economic resilience, sustainability goals, and private sector competitiveness.
The Chamber highlighted its flagship programmes—most notably the EU-funded Green Ghana Growth Project, Junior Chamber, and the GNCCI Women and Youth (GNCCI-WAY) Initiative—as prime vehicles for advancing inclusive development and sustainability across the country.
GNCCI President, Mr. Stephane Miezan, noted, “Strategic partnerships with countries like Switzerland are essential to unlocking the full potential of Ghana’s private sector. This engagement is part of our broader vision to position Ghanaian businesses for global economic opportunities.”
The goal is to co-create value-driven initiatives that empower businesses, promote trade and investment, and contribute to Ghana’s socio-economic transformation agenda.
