GNCCI Engages GPHA to Boost Trade Facilitation

On Friday, 25th April 2025, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) led by its President, Mr. Stephane Miezan, paid a courtesy call on the management of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), headed by Brigadier-General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, Director General of GPHA. The meeting forms part of GNCCI’s efforts to strengthen stakeholder engagements aimed at improving trade facilitation and creating a more business-friendly environment for private sector growth.

Discussions centered around enhancing collaboration between GNCCI and GPHA to address key challenges affecting the business community, including delays at the ports, high operational costs, infrastructure constraints, and the need for more efficient port services. President highlighted the Chamber’s commitment to working with GPHA to support the development of modern, efficient, and competitive port operations that meet international standards.

The Director General of GPHA welcomed the delegation and emphasized the Authority’s readiness to collaborate with the private sector to improve service delivery. He outlined ongoing and future infrastructure improvement projects, investment in digitalization, and other strategic initiatives aimed at making Ghana’s ports the preferred trade gateway in the region.
