Women and Youth Business Clinic Catalyzes Action on Financial Intelligence and Digital Growth

On Thursday, 29th May 2025, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) – WAY Accra Branch, in collaboration with WERise, convened a high-impact Business Clinic focused on one core mission: equipping Ghana’s women and youth with the tools to navigate entrepreneurship, finance, and digital transformation with confidence and clarity.

Held at the GNCCI Accra Office (WAEC Heights, Airport Residential Area), the event brought together a dynamic mix of emerging entrepreneurs, policy leaders, and technical experts under the theme “Focusing on Entrepreneurship, Financial Intelligence, and Digital Growth for Women and Youth.”

The Special Guest of Honour, Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), delivered a powerful keynote that underscored government’s resolve to improve access to capital, capacity support, and microfinance interventions tailored to young and women-led enterprises. Her message struck a chord with participants grappling with real-world barriers to funding and financial literacy.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in targeted sessions on financial management and trade facilitation, where facilitators broke down key strategies for credit readiness, risk mitigation, and leveraging trade ecosystems, from local supply chains to cross-border opportunities.

In a unique and holistic gesture, AMIC Medicare, a proud GNCCI member, provided free health screening services onsite, affirming that economic empowerment must go hand-in-hand with wellness and resilience.

Speaking on behalf of GNCCI-WAY Accra, GNCCI’s 1st Vice-President, Ms. Emelia Assiakwa commended the energy and ambition demonstrated by participants.

“The future of Ghana’s economy rests on bold women and forward-looking youth. This Clinic wasn’t just a conversation—it was a catalyst,” she stated.
