Accra Chamber Bazaar 2023

In an effort to strengthen local businesses throughout Ghana, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) has launched a nationwide Bazaar initiative. This programme aims to invigorate the local economy by offering a robust platform for businesses to not only showcase their diverse products and services but also effectively market them. This shared exposure fosters healthy competition and gives businesses the ability to enter new markets and connect with potential customers.

The year 2023 witnessed the resounding success of the GNCCI’s Bazaar initiative as it reached different regions of Ghana. These events were met with an enthusiastic response from both businesses and consumers alike.

The Accra Chamber Bazaar, held at the forecourt of the World Trade Centre in Ridge, stood out with its theme: “Harnessing Business Potentials through Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.” This three-day event brought together businesses from diverse sectors, each showcasing their unique offerings. The event featured businesses spanning various industries, from innovative tech startups to traditional handicraft vendors. The programme reflected the richness and diversity of Ghana’s entrepreneurial landscape.

Mr. Clement Osei-Amoako, the President of the GNCCI, underscored the Chamber’s continuous efforts to enhance the competitiveness of Ghanaian businesses. He noted that this dedication has been evident through various initiatives such as expos, business matchmaking events, workshops, training sessions, and seminars. Collectively, these initiatives present entrepreneurs with the opportunities required to thrive in both local and global competitive markets.

Mr. Osei-Amoako further urged the government to swiftly reconsider its tax policies and streamline the tax structure to support business developments without delay. The Chamber, he said, believes that by creating a favourable business environment, the government can unlock the true potential of the private sector and drive a robust economy.

The event was a success, and attendees were excited to have had access to a different range of products from various brands to interact with their representatives.
