CAPE COAST ROADSHOW AND BOOTCAMP WITH CANADA, GHANA CLIMATE INNOVATION CENTRE, AND ASHESI UNIVERSITY

The Cape Coast Branch of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) held a capacity-building event on January 19, 2024, at the Pempamsie Hotel in Cape Coast. This collaborative effort involved the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), Canada, and Ashesi University.

The event focused on equipping members involved in manufacturing and climate change-related businesses with essential skills. The Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), in partnership with Canada and Ashesi University, spearheaded training sessions. Participants were guided in developing profitable and locally appropriate solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation.

The training encompassed various aspects, including support for business incubators. Members of the GNCCI were provided insights into effective strategies for developing and nurturing sustainable initiatives in response to climate challenges. Additionally, the event addressed the critical aspect of accessing Canadian grants specifically tailored for homegrown businesses. This support is aimed at facilitating transformation, fostering sustainability, and contributing to the development of a green economy.
