GNCCI Accra Branch Re-Elects Executives

The Greater Accra Regional Office of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry re-elected its Regional Executives at the just ended July Meeting, on the topic “Mid-Year Review on Business Performance” at Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Accra, 13th of July 2022.

There were more than 50 participants, including the Chamber’s President, Mr. Clement Osei-Amoako, as well as various Regional and National Executives and some members of the Chamber.

Mr. Daniel Osei Torgbor, the Regional Manager of the Accra Chamber, gave brief introductory remarks on the agenda for the forum. He introduced Dr. Charles Kwening, a renowned expert in Strategic Management, Grant Management, and Financial Negotiations as the chairperson for the activities. 

The primary goal of the July Meeting was to assist businesses in monitoring and reviewing performance, developing solutions to make more money, and providing leadership guidance through communication. As Ghana strategize for the second half 2022, various activities were carried out in order to gain a thorough understanding of the state of businesses in the country for government deliberations and interventions.

Dr. Charles Kwening during his presentations touched on quality and comprehensive business reviews, which he said should serves as a business status update and plan for the remainder of the year.  According to him, the frequency of business reviews typically varies by company size, as larger businesses tend to conduct reviews more frequently than smaller firms. “Resources in an organization are not only key members in your firm but also, they include employees, cleaners, and security personal. 

Three fundamental types of business reviews were identified (Goal Review, Sales & Money Review, and Comprehensive Review). The three he said are very important because they are persistent, simple and effective, giving vivid and practical examples on the business market

Three major groups were formed (Services, General trade, and Manufacturing) to address related industry issues, which saw each group arriving at a common business solution. “Taking time out of busy schedule to review is an essential part of business management, these exercise will integrate and strengthen a collective body of the company,” he said.

As part of the agenda for the day, the Greater Accra Regional Executive elections was held. This had the three current executive namely Nana Agyenim Boateng-Chairman, Mr. Imram Shams Kwakye- Vice Chairman and Mr. Kwame Boadi- Treasurer, reelected and inaugurated into to continue steering the affairs for the next two years.
